EMDR Intensive Therapy FAQ
EMDR Intensive Therapy services start at $775 – $2520.
Yes, EMDR Intensive are offered on Friday and Saturdays and are scheduled based on availability.
EMDR Intensive therapy may NOT be suitable if you have:
Drug or alcohol abuse
History of suicide attempts
Previous psychiatric hospitalization
Engaging in self-harm behavior
Experiencing psychosis or dissociation
Those with a history of complex PTSD may require a referral from a primary therapist before participating in EMDR Intensive therapy.
Not a problem. If you live out-of-state, you may still take advantage of EMDR Intensive Therapy. EMDR Intensive therapy takes place at the office which is centrally located in Wichita, KS. There are several hotels and restaurants close for your convenience.
Hotel, transportation and meals are not included in the cost of EMDR Intensive therapy.
Not a problem. EMDR Intensive therapy is offered an adjunct to traditional therapy. I am happy to coordinate services with your therapist.
Yes, a 50% deposit is required to book and hold your intensive appointments. The balance will be due 48 business hours prior to the first scheduled intensive.
Payment plans are accepted for the balance remaining after the 50% deposit as long as the balance is paid at least 48 business hours prior to your first intensive.
At this time, insurance does not cover EMDR Intensive Therapy. Forms of payment accepted are Health Service Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Visa, and Mastercard.
Because of the amount of time set aside for EMDR Intensive, all cancellations must be made at least 5 business days prior to your appointment. You will receive a full refund for the amount you pre-paid minus a $100 administrative fee.
Due to the amount of time set aside for EMDR Intensive Therapy, you may re-schedule (1 x) if you provide a request to reschedule at least 7 business days before your scheduled appointment.
Because the sessions are intense and can bring up strong emotions, it is recommended that you practice self-care following each of your sessions. Avoid all drugs including recreational drugs such as alcohol and marijuana as they inhibit processing.
Step 1. You will first request a 15-minute complimentary consultation via Zoom where we are able to briefly meet and ask questions.
Step 2. If it is determined that EMDR Intensive Therapy is right for you, we will schedule a 90-minute pre-intensive interview via Zoom. A 50% deposit is required to book a session.
During this pre-intensive interview, we will determine your goals and needs for the intensive sessions.
Step 3. At the end of the pre-intensive interview, we will then schedule your intensive sessions – which are scheduled based on availability and scheduling needs.
Absolutely! You will receive your complimentary workbook after we have completed our pre-intensive interview.
Once you complete the intensive sessions, you are able to purchase additional intensive sessions at $155 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
During your pre-intensive interview, we will determine your therapeutic needs and tailer your sessions to fit your needs.
